Same chain, two places, overlapping menu. Store vs store, city vs city, or state vs state. Pickup prices from each restaurant’s own ordering system, not a national average and not a guess.
50,876 restaurants across Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle, Domino's, McDonald's, Papa John's, Popeyes, Taco Bell, and Wendy's, priced store by store. Pick any two of the same chain.
Same chain. Two specific restaurants, not the cities they sit in. Search by city, ZIP, address, or store id. Pickup prices from that chain’s own ordering system.
Or tap the map. Same logo pins as the price map — pinch toward a town, then tap a pin.
Yes. About half of the spread on a Crunchy Taco is inside California, not between states, which is why a state average is the wrong picture on its own. Two McDonald’s a few miles apart can disagree on a Big Mac by a dollar. This tool is for that question at three scales: is this restaurant more expensive than that one, is Austin cheaper than Dallas, is Texas cheaper than California?
You pick a chain, a mode, then two places. Type a city or ZIP, or tap the map — same street tiles and logo pins as the price map, one pin per restaurant, city, or state depending on the mode. City and state modes use the median pickup price at the restaurants we priced there, so one airport store cannot pretend to be the city. The overlapping catalog is everything both sides listed. An item only one of them sells is named separately. The summary counts how many items are cheaper at A, how many at B, and the median gap on the items they share.
Each restaurant carries the date we last priced it. The daily job rotates through a chain about weekly, so the two as-of dates can differ and still both be current enough to compare.
Two real restaurants. Aimed at searches like “is this McDonald’s more expensive.”
Median prices in each city, not one store wearing the skyline.
Texas McDonald’s vs California McDonald’s, and the other arguments people actually have.
What this does not do yet. It does not match a Big Mac to a Whopper, and it does not hunt down the cheapest restaurant for a custom order. Those are next. This page is the first question: two restaurants, same chain, overlapping menu, different prices.
The price map colours every restaurant we have. Cheapest near you picks one winner per chain. This page is the head-to-head in between: two places you choose.
